Located in NYC’s Two Bridges neighborhood, GLO Modern is founded by artists Lena Imamura (GLO Studio) and Lora Appleton (Kinder Modern) as a cultural waypoint — a space to slow down, reconnect, and consider what we truly value.

At a time when automation accelerates and attention fragments, GLO Modern holds space for the handmade, the storied, the human. More than a gallery, it’s an artist-led studio platform –  reimagining exhibition as relationship—between maker and collector, object and story, past and future. Each collection blends art and design into a shared conversation: thoughtful, tactile, and alive with care.

From contemporary art and outsider works to high-end collectible design and vintage artifacts, GLO Modern invites a new kind of engagement—one rooted in stewardship, creative kinship, and the desire to carry culture forward.

GLO Modern is an experimental gallery and modern-day souvenir shop, curating the objects we’d preserve for the future.
